The New Heritage Foundation for Historic Estates in the Lands of the former Kingdom of Poland aims to preserve, inspire, raise awareness and undertake actions channelled at restoring and giving new use to historic buildings and places in serious danger of demolition, abandonment or squander.

We take great care at lost and forgotten historical sites and we have great determination to preserve these unique symbols of Polish national identity.

New Heritage Initiative

The past as much as the present forms our character, our attitudes and opinions. The more a person or a nation inherit from the past the moresecure they are in own identity and their sense of purpose.

A nation deprived of tangible evidence of its past is as rootless as windswept leaves. It is easily influenced and swayed by forces that mightwant to manipulate its identity for unscrupulous purposes. Heritage matters. It is a living past that helps us to understand who we are.

We want to show the society the opportunities that lies beneath and how a neglected and forgotten manor can be transformed into a livingmember of its community.

How one can benefit from it and how it, can benefit from the member of its community. At New Heritage we want to give redundant or derelict historic buildings a purpose and fit for the 21 century. There is a true emergency here.

We need to develop and implement completely new proposals and develop a model for other estates to follow. On every project we analyse and work closely with our experts and specialists. We’re extremely glad to be able to work with true specialists in the field of restoration and conservation of monuments – both from Poland and abroad as we often work in international teams. On every project we gather expertise from master craftsman as carpenters, bricklayers and plasterers who worked previously extensively on renovations. Those skills cannot be forgotten.

Through our work we want to implement a new idea of lease/state partnerships which gives us an opportunity to develop our ideas on a project without the necessity of buying it, thus reducing the capital needed.

At our NHP we acquire or lease, restore and preserve Poland’s neglected heartland architectural heritage. Working closely with a team of local architects and designers on developing ideas for every project we uncover hidden histories and underline what's the most important aspect of every single one. Through our temporary architectural installations designed and build by us, inside the manors, we want to promote each house and bring it closer to the community.

NH Experiences

Experiences tell our story of the manor’s unique perspective and passion. NH Experiences typically include these four qualities:

Access

We share our insider knowledge with guests and give them behind-the-scenes access to people, places, and activities that guests couldn’t typically find on their own.

Participation

We provide opportunities for our guests to meaningfully engage in the activities of the experience, not just passively observe them.

Perspective

The experience has personal meaning to us and conveys a unique point of view. Experiences tell manor’s story and immerse guests in their world.

Passion

We are passionate about the theme of the experience and can demonstrate a deep knowledge or a skilled mastery of the activity.

There is something about a moment in time that can’t be replicated, an experience that is your very own, an adventure with others that is deeply personal and memorable.

New Heritage Experiences are unique activities designed for you in a manor or palace of your choosing from our portfolio. Unlike a typical tour or workshop, NH Experiences are especially crafted for you and offer a deep-dive into the world of the house. We offer our guests special knowledge, insights and access to local places and communities that they would be unlikely to find on their own, creating lasting connections and treasured memories. Each person’s experience is a different adventure, and in some ways very personal.

NH Lectures

Not only through our involvement in polish architectural heritage but also through our work in organizing lectures and seminars for interested parties thus enabling a greater understanding and appreciation of Poland’s history and culture amongst the general public we envisage our work giving the people of Poland a greater sense of who they are, of their cultural identity and their place in the world.

We run a series of lectures and seminars on the subjects of heritage and national heritage in nowadays Poland with a view from the past. Heritage, whether architecture, music, painting, literature, food, science, heritage in all its forms, furnishes this sense of identity, this sense of who we are. Heritage forms, enriches and inspires the imagination: it is a springboard for the future. Without it we are like birds lacking the lift to get off the ground.

Heritage matters. It is a living past that helps us to understand who we are. Our lectures and seminars usually take place in abandoned or derelict houses thus underlying the importance of renovating them and finding them a purpose in the 21 century. If you are interested in organising such a lecture to your community or nearby school – don’t hesitate to contact us. We are more than happy to help.
